Embraer’s backlog hits record $34.5 billion in the second quarter, rising 16%

SAO PAULO, July 24 (Reuters) – Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer said ​on Friday ‌its firm order backlog hit a record of $34.5 billion at the ‌end ​of the ⁠second quarter, ⁠up 16% from a year earlier.

• The commercial aviation backlog ​stood at $15.1 billion in April-June quarter, ⁠up ⁠15%, while executive ​aviation backlog rose 5% ​to $7.8 billion.

• The remaining ‌backlog came from Embraer’s defense unit, at $6.1 billion, and ⁠its services and support business, at $5.5 billion.

• Embraer ⁠reported ‌earlier this month ⁠the delivery ​of ‌65 aircraft in ​the second ⁠quarter, up some 7%.
