KPMG Australia to cut hundreds of jobs, slash partner pay, AFR reports

July 14 (Reuters) – KPMG Australia is preparing to cut ​hundreds of ‌jobs and slash partner pay by as much as a ‌fifth ​as ⁠it grapples with ⁠allegations its staff misused confidential information to win contracts, ​the Australian Financial Review reported ⁠on Tuesday.

KPMG ⁠has approximately ​10,000 people in Australia, ​including more than 600 ‌partners, and offices around the country, according ⁠to its website.

The job cuts, which are yet ⁠to ‌be finalised, ⁠could potentially exceed ​1,000, ‌AFR said, citing ​sources ⁠familiar with the matter.
