July 14 (Reuters) – KPMG Australia is preparing to cut hundreds of jobs and slash partner pay by as much as a fifth as it grapples with allegations its staff misused confidential information to win contracts, the Australian Financial Review reported on Tuesday.
KPMG has approximately 10,000 people in Australia, including more than 600 partners, and offices around the country, according to its website.
The job cuts, which are yet to be finalised, could potentially exceed 1,000, AFR said, citing sources familiar with the matter.
