Canada’s Ivey PMI falls to three-month low in June

TORONTO, July 7 (Reuters) – Canadian economic activity expanded at a ​slower pace in ‌June as measures of employment and prices fell, Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data ‌showed ​on Tuesday.

The ⁠seasonally adjusted index ⁠declined to 56.2 from 58.2 in May, marking its lowest level since March.

• ​The Ivey PMI measures the month to ⁠month variation ⁠in economic activity as ​indicated by a panel ​of purchasing managers from across ‌Canada. A reading above 50 indicates an increase in activity.

• The ⁠gauge of employment dipped to an adjusted 53.6 from 54.3 ⁠in ‌May.

• The adjusted ⁠prices index was ​at ‌73.7, down from 78.0.

• ​The unadjusted ⁠PMI edged lower to 59.7 from 61.3 in May.
