Wall St opens higher after June jobs report eases rate-hike bets

July 2 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened ​higher on ‌Thursday after a softer-than-expected employment report for ‌June ​tempered expectations ⁠for interest-rate ⁠hikes by the Federal Reserve.

The Dow Jones Industrial ​Average rose 90.0 points, ⁠or ⁠0.17%, at ​the open to ​52,395.22. The S&P 500 ‌rose 11.9 points, or 0.16%, at ⁠the open to 7,495.14, while the ⁠Nasdaq ‌Composite rose ⁠7.4 points, ​or ‌0.03%, to 26,047.382.
