Reds activate RHP Emilio Pagan, send OF Dane Myers to IL

The Cincinnati Reds activated closer Emilio Pagan from the 15-day injured list and placed outfielder ​Dane Myers on the 10-day ‌injured list on Tuesday.

The team also optioned right-hander Zach McCambley to Triple-A Louisville and called up infielder/outfielder Ivan Johnson from Louisville.

Pagan, ‌35, ​has been sidelined ⁠since May 5, when ⁠he strained his left hamstring in a game against the Chicago Cubs. He is 2-1 with a ​6.43 ERA and six saves in 15 appearances this season.

Myers, 30, ⁠sustained a left shoulder ⁠contusion when he collided ​with the wall while making an acrobatic ​catch in the fourth inning of ‌Monday’s 5-3 loss at Milwaukee. He is batting .256 with three homers and 14 RBIs in 63 games.

McCambley, ⁠27, made his major league debut on June 3 and has made four relief appearances ⁠with ‌no decisions and a ⁠6.23 ERA.

Johnson, 27, was a ​fourth-round ‌draft pick by the Reds ​in 2019 ⁠and has yet to make his MLB debut. He is batting .290 with nine homers and 28 RBIs in 55 games this season at Louisville.
