Fire F Bridget Carleton signs with Unrivaled

Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton will make her Unrivaled debut in 2027, the ​3-on-3 league announced Thursday.

The ‌29-year-old Canadian has averaged a career-high 13.4 points and 3.4 rebounds through 17 games (all starts) for the ‌WNBA ​expansion club this ⁠season.

Carleton’s Unrivaled team ⁠will be announced at a later date. The league is heading into its third season.

“I ​am so excited to be playing in Unrivaled next ⁠season,” she said ⁠in a news release. “It’s ​a special opportunity for me to ​not only stay closer to ‌home but to continue to expand my game and compete with and against some of ⁠the best players in the world. Can’t wait to get there!”

Carleton has ⁠career ‌averages of 6.2 points ⁠and 2.9 rebounds in ​236 ‌games (128 starts) with the ​Connecticut Sun (2019), ⁠Minnesota Lynx (2019-25) and Portland. The Fire selected her with the No. 1 pick in the expansion draft on April 3.
