Mariners recall IF/OF Connor Joe from Triple-A Tacoma

The Seattle Mariners recalled utility player Connor Joe ahead of Wednesday’s home ​game against the ‌Baltimore Orioles.

Joe, 33, was sent to Triple-A Tacoma on May 22 after hitting .182 with one home ‌run ​and three ⁠RBIs over 18 ⁠games to begin the season.

As a corresponding move, Seattle optioned outfielder Curtis Washington Jr. ​back to Single-A Everett. Washington was promoted ⁠to Seattle on ⁠Tuesday, but did not ​play in the game or ​make his major league debut.

Joe ‌hit .242 with two home runs, seven doubles and nine RBIs in 24 games ⁠with Tacoma.

Joe signed with the Mariners as a free agent in ⁠February ‌and has a ⁠career .238 hitter with 36 ​home ‌runs and 148 RBIs ​in ⁠498 games with the San Francisco Giants (2019), Colorado Rockies (2021-22), Pittsburgh Pirates (2023-24), San Diego Padres (2025), Cincinnati Reds (2025) and Mariners.
