Trent Grisham (hamstring) leaves Yankees game

New York centerfielder Trent Grisham suffered a hamstring injury in ​the sixth inning ‌of the Yankees’ game with the Blue Jays in Toronto on Friday night ‌and ​had to ⁠exit the contest.

The ⁠Yankees reported the injury as right hamstring tightness.

With two outs in the ​top of the inning, Grisham hit ⁠a two-run ⁠single to center to ​cut the Yankees deficit ​to 7-5. When the throw ‌came home, Grisham advanced from first and slid into second, ⁠emerging with an apparent leg injury. Max Schuemann substituted in ⁠to ‌run for him.

A ⁠two-time Gold Glove ​winner, ‌Grisham was 1-for-4 ​with the ⁠two RBIs when he exited the game. He is batting .232 this season in 224 at-bats.
