Electrical workers threaten strike at BHP iron ore port by end of June

PERTH, May 29 (Reuters) – Electrical workers at BHP’s ​Port Hedland ‌bulk export port in Western Australia may take ‌strike ​action ⁠by end ⁠of the financial year on June 30, a ​union group said on ⁠Friday.

“BHP ⁠needs to take ​notice and Tim ​Day needs to ‌take notice that he needs to negotiate ⁠with us,” said union leader Adam ⁠Woodage, ‌referring to ⁠the miner’s ​head ‌of iron ore ​in ⁠Western Australia.
