Amgen says CFO Peter Griffith to retire, names Dittrich as successor

May 19 (Reuters) – Amgen said on Tuesday its chief financial officer, Peter Griffith, would retire, ​with Thomas Dittrich taking ‌over the role in September.

Dittrich, who previously held senior finance roles at Amgen, is set to return to the ‌drugmaker ​as executive vice ⁠president in July.

• ⁠Griffith, who was Amgen’s CFO since 2020 and helped advance its long-term growth strategy across the ​business, will remain with the company through January 2027 to ⁠support the transition.

• ⁠Dittrich will join as ​executive vice president from July 1 ​to August 31, before becoming CFO ‌from September 1.

• Dittrich previously worked at Amgen for about eight years in various roles, ⁠including chief accounting officer and head of corporate planning.

• Amgen said he most recently ⁠served ‌as the CFO of ⁠Swiss dermatology company Galderma ​Group. ‌He also held CFO ​roles at ⁠Shire and Sulzer.

• Amgen said Dittrich would report to CEO Robert Bradway.
