Wall St opens higher after best month in years

May 1 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened ​higher on ‌Friday, building on the impetus from their biggest ‌monthly ​rise ⁠in years as ⁠confidence in strong earnings overshadowed oil risks.

The Dow ​Jones Industrial Average rose ⁠180.4 ⁠points, or 0.36%, ​at the open ​to 49,832.57. The ‌S&P 500 rose 25.5 points, or 0.35%, ⁠at the open to 7,234.54, while the ⁠Nasdaq ‌Composite rose ⁠85.5 points, ​or ‌0.34%, to ​24,977.79.
