French inflation rises to 2.0% in March

April 15 (Reuters) – Consumer prices in ​France rose ‌2.0% year-on-year in March, statistics office ‌INSEE ​said ⁠on Wednesday, ⁠slightly above analysts’ expectations and a ​preliminary reading of ⁠a ⁠1.9% rise ​published earlier ​this month.

The EU-harmonised ‌inflation rate in the bloc’s ⁠second biggest economy accelerated in ⁠March, ‌compared with ⁠the ​February ‌reading of ​1.1%.
