Free agent forward Azura Stevens rejoined the Chicago Sky on Saturday following three seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks.
Terms were not disclosed by Chicago but ESPN reported that the 6-foot-6 Stevens, 30, landed a three-year contract.
Stevens previously played for the Sky from 2020-22, winning a WNBA championship during the 2021 campaign.
“I’m truly excited to be coming home to join the Chicago Sky,” Stevens said in a statement. “This city means everything to me. The culture, the people, the passion for the game. To have the opportunity to come back to Chicago is amazing. I’m ready to get to work, embrace the moment, and give everything I have. Let’s work.”
Stevens was runner-up for Most Improved Player honors last season and runner-up for Sixth Player of the Year in her final season with Chicago in 2022.
“We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring back Azura, a pivotal part of our championship team,” Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca said. “Stevens brings a versatile element to our frontcourt as a shooter and shot blocker that we’re confident will pair nicely with the players we have under contract.”
Stevens posted career-best averages in scoring (12.8) and rebounding (8.0) in 44 games (all starts) with the Sparks in 2025 while shooting 38.1% from 3-point range. She finished sixth in the league with 47 blocked shots.
She has career averages of 10.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 220 games (134 starts) with the Dallas Wings (2018-19), Sky and Sparks. Dallas drafted her with the No. 6 overall pick in 2018.
The Sky open the season May 9 on the road against the expansion Portland Fire.
