The Atlanta Dream’s acquisition this week of Angel Reese in a trade with the Chicago Sky sent ‌ticket sales soaring.

StubHub posted this on social media Thursday:

“Atlanta Dream ticket demand spiked 15x after trading for ‌Angel Reese, the largest single day spike in franchise history,” read the message posted on the StubHub X account. “The Angel Reese Effect is real.”

Chicago traded Reese to the Dream on Monday, receiving in return Atlanta’s first-round picks in 2027 and 2028 and the right to swap second-round picks in ‌2028.

Reese, 23, led the WNBA in rebounding in each of her first two seasons, averaging 13.1 per game in 2024 and 12.6 last season. Those are the ‌two highest single-season marks in league history.

Reese has recorded ‌49 double-doubles in 64 career games. The two-time All-Star forward averaged 14.7 points per game last season after a 13.6 average as a rookie in 2024.
