Russian authorities detain investigative journalist, state media reports

MOSCOW, April 9 (Reuters) – Oleg Roldugin, an ​investigative journalist ‌for independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta, was ‌detained ​on ⁠Thursday in a ⁠case involving alleged misuse of personal data, ​state news agency RIA ⁠reported.

The ⁠newspaper said ​earlier that masked ​security service agents ‌were searching its Moscow office as ⁠part of an unspecified investigation, adding ⁠that ‌its lawyers ⁠were not ​being ‌allowed into the ​building.
