UN-backed Haiti mission implicated in four cases of sexual abuse, report shows

PORT-AU-PRINCE, April 2 (Reuters) – United Nations investigations into four ​allegations of ‌sexual exploitation and abuse involving members of a U.N.-backed ‌security ​force ⁠in Haiti last ⁠year were “found to be substantiated,” according to a U.N. ​report.

The report, dated February ⁠16, was ⁠first reported ​by the Ayibo ​Post on Friday.

“All the ‌allegations were found to be substantiated by investigations ⁠conducted by the Office of the United ⁠Nations ‌High Commissioner ⁠for Human Rights,” ​the ‌report said ​without detailing ⁠the outcome of these cases.
