Belgium’s David Goffin announced Friday that the 2026 season will be his last on the ATP Tour.

Goffin, 35, has ‌won six singles titles and compiled a 357-275 record, reaching No. 7 in the world rankings in 2017.

“Some decisions ‌stay with you for a long time. I’ve given everything for this sport, and tennis has given me more than I could ever have imagined,” Goffin said in a video posted on Instagram. “The matches, the battles, the wins, the losses. The emotions. The people who were there through all of it. And that’s ‌why this has been one of the hardest decisions of my life.”

His best finishes in the Grand Slam events were quarterfinal appearances at the French Open (2016), Australian Open (2017) and Wimbledon (2019, ‌2022). He lost in the ATP Finals championship match in ‌2017.

Goffin’s most recent tournament victory was in Morocco in 2022. He has 21 career wins against top-10 opponents, including victories over Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
