Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson is considered week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Severson sustained the injury after absorbing a check from Zachary Bolduc in the third period of Thursday’s 2-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
Severson, 31, has recorded 32 points (eight goals, 24 assists) and a team-best plus-18 rating in 71 games this season.
He has 348 points (81 goals, 267 assists) in 855 career games with the Devils and Blue Jackets since being selected by New Jersey in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft. He was traded to Columbus on June 9, 2023 in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
