Ducks score four straight, take season series from Mammoth

Alex Killorn had a goal and two assists for the Anaheim Ducks, who came from behind to defeat the Utah Mammoth ​4-1 on Friday night.

Ryan Poehling had ‌a goal and an assist, and Lukas Dostal made 29 saves for the Ducks (38-27-4, 80 points), who have won two of their last three games and five of ‌their ​last nine. Anaheim also took ⁠two of three against ⁠Utah in the season series.

Dylan Guenther scored the lone goal for the Mammoth (36-28-6, 78 points), who defeated the Vegas Golden Knights on the ​road 4-0 on Thursday night. Vitek Vanecek made 19 saves.

Guenther gave the hosts the early ⁠1-0 lead at 1:48 of ⁠the first period. Sean Durzi set ​up the goal with a cross-ice pass, and Guenther ​scored on a slap shot from down on ‌one knee.

Poehling tied it 1-1 at 13:37 when he caught a breakaway on the penalty kill and scored on a wrist shot.

Utah outshot Anaheim ⁠14-5 in the first period, with the Ducks not having their first shot on goal until 11:53.

The Ducks ⁠took a ‌2-1 lead at 9:09 of the ⁠second period on a snap shot ​by ‌Killorn.

Cutter Gauthier scored into an empty ​net with ⁠1:36 remaining in regulation to make the score 3-1. Poehling set Mikael Granlund up for a wrist shot into the empty net with 55 seconds left in the game to secure the 4-1 final.
