Earthquake of magnitude 6.7 strikes South Shetland Islands, GFZ says

March 19 (Reuters) – A magnitude 6.7 ​earthquake ‌struck South Shetland Islands of ‌Antarctica ​on ⁠Thursday, German ⁠Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said. The quake ​was at ⁠a ⁠depth of ​10 km (6.21 ​miles), GFZ said.

The ‌U.S. Tsunami Warning System ⁠said there was no tsunami ⁠threat from ‌the ⁠earthquake.
