The Miami Dolphins have informed suitors that running back De’Von Achane is not on the trading block, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The Dolphins have overhauled ‌their offense this offseason under new coach Jeff Hafley and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, trading or releasing veterans like quarterback Tua ‌Tagovailoa and wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill.

Achane, 24, who is entering the final season of his rookie contract, will not be part of the purge, per the report.

Instead, he is expected to play a featured role in Miami alongside new quarterback Malik Willis for new offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

A third-round draft pick in 2023, Achane ran for a career-high 1,350 yards (fifth ‌in the NFL) and eight touchdowns and made his first Pro Bowl last season. He led the league with 5.7 yards per carry and added 67 catches for 488 yards and four scores in 16 starts.

Achane has ‌gained 4,334 yards from scrimmage and scored 35 touchdowns in 44 ‌career games (36 starts). He has rushed for more than 100 yards 10 times, including a career-high 203 yards with four total TDs as a 2023 rookie in a 70-20 blowout of the Denver Broncos.
