NFLPA re-elects Jalen Reeves-Maybin as president

The NFL Players Association’s board of player representatives re-elected linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin as union president on ​Sunday.

“I’m honored that the Board ‌has trusted me to continue serving as president,” he said in a statement. “There’s important work ahead, and I’m looking forward ‌to ​continue advocating on behalf ⁠of our membership ⁠to protect our rights and advance our interests.”

Reeves-Maybin, 31, was elected to his first two-year term in March ​of 2024. He played three games with the Chicago Bears last ⁠season and is ⁠currently a free agent.

He has ​played in 117 games (14 starts) with the ​Detroit Lions (2017-21, 2023-24), Houston Texans (2022) and ‌Bears, recording 223 tackles and five forced fumbles while mostly playing special teams. He made the Pro Bowl ⁠in 2023.

Four new players were elected to serve on the executive committee: Tanoh Kpassagnon ⁠as treasurer, ‌and Jonathan Greenard, Harrison ⁠Phillips and Zaire Franklin. They ​replaced ‌Calais Campbell, Austin Ekeler, ​Ryan Kelly ⁠and Thomas Hennessy.

They join six players who were re-elected along with Reeves-Maybin: Oren Burks, Cam Heyward, Ted Karras, Case Keenum, Brandon McManus and Thomas Morstead.
