Pratt & Whitney exec expects engine supply imbalance to level off by end of decade

NEW YORK, Jan 29 (Reuters) – Strong industry demand ‍for jet engines which is outpacing supply should start to level off ‌at the end ‌of the decade, Pratt & Whitney’s president of commercial engines said on ​Thursday.

Rick Deurloo told a New ‍York ​gathering of the ​Wings Club that ‍the RTX enginemaker is growing production and capacity for aftermarket repairs ‍in 2026, as prices and demand soar ‍for ‍engines. Deurloo ​said the supply ​chain ⁠is improving ‌but remains a challenge.
