UFC’s Cameron Smotherman collapses after weigh-in

UFC bantamweight Cameron Smotherman collapsed Friday after his weigh-in ‍for Saturday’s UFC 324 in Las Vegas.

Smotherman, 28, successfully made weight at 135.5 pounds ‌but fell to ‌the floor after stepping off the scale.

He was carried off the platform and ​examined by physicians at T-Mobile ‍Arena, but ​no update has ​been provided.

The scheduled fight ‍between Smotherman (12-6) and Ricky Turcios (13-5) was canceled.

Two other fighters missed weight — bantamweight Deiveson Figueiredo ‍and flyweight Alex Perez — and were fined 25% ‍of ‍their purses. Their ​bouts will continue ​as ⁠planned.

Saturday night’s headliner ‌is a clash between Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title.
