Braves INF Ha-Seong Kim (finger) out 4-5 months

Atlanta Braves infielder Ha-Seong Kim will be out for at ‍least four months after surgery to repair a torn tendon in the middle finger of ‌his right hand.

Kim, ‌30, was injured when he slipped and fell on ice in his native South ​Korea, MLB.com reported.

Kim batted .234 with five ‍home runs and ​17 RBIs in ​48 total games for ‍the Braves and Tampa Bay Rays last season. Atlanta claimed Kim off waivers in September ‍and signed him to a one-year deal in December.

Over ‍five ‍major league seasons, ​Kim is a ​career .242 ⁠hitter with 52 ‌home runs and 217 RBIs in 588 games for the San Diego Padres (2021-24), Rays and Braves.
