Jan 16 (Reuters) – A federal judge on Friday cleared U.S. power company Dominion Energy to resume work on its Virginia offshore wind project, which President Donald Trump’s administration halted along with four other projects last month.
The ruling by U.S. District Judge Jamar Walker in the Eastern District of Virginia is the third legal setback this week for Trump’s offshore wind policy. Government attorneys had argued that the pause was justified by new, classified information regarding offshore wind’s impacts on national security.
