US ICE’s principal legal adviser to become agency’s deputy director

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) – U.S. Homeland Security Secretary ‍Kristi Noem said on Thursday that Charles Wall will become ‌the deputy ‌director of the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency as outgoing ​ICE Deputy Director Madison ‍Sheahan ​is leaving to ​run for Congress.

Wall ‍is currently the principal legal adviser for ICE and began ‍his career with ICE as an assistant ‍chief ‍counsel in ​Louisiana in ​2012, ⁠according to ‌the agency’s website.
