Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater is active for Sunday’s AFC wild-card game against the host Jacksonville Jaguars.
Prater was questionable heading into the contest due to a quadriceps injury. Matthew Wright was available to step in from the practice squad if Prater was unable to play.
The 41-year-old Prater brings playoff experience. He has appeared in nine NFL playoff games, making 14 of 16 field goal attempts and connecting on all 15 point-after attempts.
The Bills (12-5) listed Ty Johnson as inactive, thereby creating some playing time for fellow running back Frank Gore Jr. behind James Cook and backup Ray Davis.
Buffalo’s other inactives are linebacker Terrel Bernard, safety Darnell Savage, cornerback Maxwell Hairston, offensive tackle Tylan Grable, tight end Keleki Latu and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.
As for the Jaguars (13-4), the following players are inactive: wide receiver Dyami Brown, running back DeeJay Dallas, offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen, tight end Hunter Long, defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah and defensive tackle Maason Smith.
