The Cincinnati Reds signed first baseman Michael Toglia to a ‍minor league contract.

Toglia was a first-round pick by the Colorado Rockies in the 2019 MLB Draft.

He ‌had a breakout campaign ‌for the Rockies in 2024, recording 25 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases with a .218/.311/.456 batting line in 116 ‍games.

However, Toglia took a big step back in 2025, posting ‍just 11 home runs, 32 RBIs, and three stolen bases with a .190/.258/.353 batting line in ‍88 games. The decline in his on-base percentage was particularly ‍concerning.

The ‍27-year-old will look to bounce back in Cincinnati. He adds ‌a power bat to a team that finished 21st in the MLB in home runs last season.
