Exxon CEO says prepared to evaluate reentering Venezuela

HOUSTON, Jan 9 (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil CEO Darren ‍Woods said on Friday the U.S. oil major could ‌hit the ground ‌running in Venezuela and evaluate potentially returning to Venezuela.

“It’s absolutely ​critical that we get ‍a ​technical team ​in place to ‍assess the current state of the industry,” Woods said.

The comments ‍were made during a White House ‍meeting ‍with U.S. ​President Donald ​Trump ⁠on Friday with ‌other oil executives.
