Grab acquires AI robotics firm Infermove to boost delivery capabilities

SINGAPORE, Jan 6 (Reuters) – Singapore’s Grab Holdings said it has ‍acquired China-based Infermove, a developer of AI-enabled robotics solutions, to strengthen its first- and ‌last-mile delivery capabilities.

“As ‌we are constantly looking for new ways to bridge online and offline in ​better and smarter ways, we ‍see the ​opportunity to further ​develop Infermove’s solutions out ‍of Singapore, to complement Grab’s first- and last-mile delivery capabilities,” Grab said in a ‍statement to Reuters on Tuesday.

The Nasdaq-listed company added ‍that ‍its teams will ​explore how Infermove’s ​autonomous ⁠robots can enhance ‌customer and partner experiences. No financial details were disclosed.
