AMD unveils new AI chips at CES event in Las Vegas

Jan 5 (Reuters) – Advanced Micro Devices CEO Lisa Su ‍showed off the company’s MI455 GPU chips on Monday at the CES trade ‌show in Las ‌Vegas.

The advanced AI processors are a component in the data center server ​racks that the company is ‍selling to ​firms like ChatGPT ​maker OpenAI. In ‍October, AMD signed a deal with OpenAI worth tens of billions of dollars.

OpenAI ‍President Greg Brockman joined Su on stage and ‍touted ‍the benefits ​of the company’s ​products.
