Sacramento Kings standout center Domantas Sabonis will miss an additional four to five weeks as he recovers from a ‍partially torn meniscus in his left knee.

Sabonis, who has already been out a month, will miss his 14th straight game Saturday night when the Kings host the Portland Trail Blazers. Sacramento is just ‌3-10 since Sabonis injured the knee.

The ‌three-time All-Star last played on Nov. 16 against the San Antonio Spurs. He sat out against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 19 due to knee soreness and the tear was later revealed during testing.

Sabonis has played in just ‍11 games this season. He played in 79, 82 and 70 games the previous three seasons and led the ‍NBA in rebounding all three seasons.

Sabonis, 29, is averaging 17.2 points and 12.3 rebounds this season. He has career averages of 16.1 points and 10.7 rebounds in 657 games (517 ‍starts) over 10 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers and Kings.

Sabonis joined the Kings in ‍February 2022 ‍as part of the package when Tyrese Haliburton was traded from Sacramento to Indiana.

Rookie Maxime Raynaud has received ample ‌playing time of late and contributed career bests of 29 points and 11 rebounds during Thursday’s 134-133 overtime loss at Portland.

Raynaud is averaging 17 points and 8.3 rebounds in six games this month.
