Tigers reach 1-year deal with RHP Drew Anderson

The Detroit Tigers and right-hander Drew Anderson agreed to terms ‍on a one-year, $7 million contract with a club option for $10 million in the 2027 season, the team ‌announced Tuesday.

Anderson, 31, ‌posted a 12-7 record with a 2.25 ERA and 245 strikeouts in 30 starts ​last season with the SSG Landers of ‍the KBO ​League.

He spent the last ​two seasons in South ‍Korea after attending major league spring training with the Tigers as a non-roster invitee in 2024.

Anderson ‍owns a 1-3 record with a 6.50 ERA in 19 ‍career ‍games (two starts) with ​the Philadelphia Phillies (2017-19), ​Chicago ⁠White Sox (2020) and ‌Texas Rangers (2021). He also pitched with Hiroshima in the Nippon Professional Baseball league for the 2022-23 campaigns.
