Steelers TE Darnell Washington clears concussion protocol

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Darnell Washington has been cleared from ‍concussion protocol and will not carry an injury designation into their game Monday night against the ‌visiting Miami Dolphins.

Washington was ‌injured during Pittsburgh’s 27-22 win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday. The 6-foot-7, 264-pound ​Washington put forth limited practice sessions during ‍the week ​and was listed ​as questionable to play for ‍the Steelers (7-6) against the Dolphins (6-7).

Washington, 24, has 23 catches for 288 yards and one touchdown ‍in 13 games (10 starts) this season.

He has 49 receptions for ‍549 ‍yards and two ​touchdowns in 47 ​career ⁠games (26 starts) since ‌being selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Georgia.
