MADRID (Reuters) -A blast in a coal mine in the northern Spanish region of Asturias on Monday has left at least nine people injured and several trapped, El Mundo newspaper reported.
Regional emergency services confirmed they had received a report of a blast in a mine in Degana and that three helicopters and two ambulances had been sent the scene, but the spokesperson could not confirm if there were people trapped inside.
At least three people have been injured, the spokesperson added.
