Chinese carmaker Chery to invest $1 billion in Turkey, president’s office says

ANKARA (Reuters) – Chinese carmaker Chery will invest $1 billion in Turkey on a manufacturing facility in northern Samsun province with an annual 200,000 vehicle capacity, the Turkish presidency said on Wednesday.
President Tayyip Erdogan presented a certificate of appreciation to Chery officials for their investment in a ceremony at the presidential palace in Ankara.
