WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States has added dozens of entities, including in China, Iran and Pakistan, to its export restriction list, according to a notice in the Federal Register on Tuesday.The entities, including over 50 from China, were found to be acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy of the U.S., according to the notice.
The Chinese entities listed include companies that acquired U.S.-origin items to advance China’s quantum technology capabilities; entities that support China’s military modernization; and companies that supply other restricted parties on the list, including Huawei, the tech conglomerate seen as at the center of China’s AI ambitions.
