BEIJING (Reuters) – China has prohibited imports of livestock and related products from many countries due to outbreaks of diseases like sheep pox, goat pox and foot-and-mouth-disease, the General Administration of Customs said on Monday.

For sheep, goat and related products, imports from Palestine, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ghana, Somalia, Bangladesh, Eritria, Nigeria and Tanzania are not allowed due to an outbreak of sheep pox and goat pox, it said.
