OSLO (Reuters) – A passenger train derailed in northern Norway on Thursday, police and train operator SJ said.

“Preliminary information indicates that there are no serious injuries among the 90 passengers on board the train,” SJ said in a statement.

A locomotive and five train carriages derailed, police said in a statement.

Norwegian daily VG published pictures, which the newspaper said were taken by people at the scene, of a locomotive lying on the side after derailing.
