KOMARNO, Slovakia (Reuters) – The fight against illegal migration into the European Union is an absolute priority, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on Tuesday after meeting Hungarian and Serbian leaders at a summit.

“Let’s realise there are five million illegal migrants in the EU who have nothing to do there, with completely different traditions, with completely different mental settings, with different cultural roots which have negative effects on the condition that Europe is in,” he said.

“Given these conditions we… consider the fight with illegal migration to be an absolute priority.”
