ATHENS (Reuters) – Greece’s economy will grow by 2.1% (pvs forecast 2.4%) this year under a baseline scenario, the country’s influential think-tank IOBE said on Tuesday, downwardly revising its previous estimate in January.

The new projection is lower than the government’s estimate for growth of about 2.9% this year.

The Greek economy is forecast to grow nearly 3% this year, approaching its pre-crisis size of 2009 and far outpacing the euro zone average of 0.8%.

Tourism, investment and private consumption are seen as the key drivers of economic activity this year.
