German inflation eases to 3.1% in January

BERLIN (Reuters) – German inflation eased in January to 3.1%, the federal statistics office said on Friday, confirming preliminary data.

German consumer prices, harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, had risen by 3.8% year-on-year in December.
